Why you need a coach...

Welcome to HeadWise Coaching! My name is Melissa and I am here to help you live your goals and dreams.

Coaching is a process of careful listening combined with empathy and challenge. My job as a coach is to understand how things affect you and to help you to see things from different perspectives and explore the possibilities. You set the agenda for discussion. You bring whatever you want to talk about to our sessions. I will listen, ask questions and try to encourage you to go to a deeper level of thought and understanding about your situation. Our time is about understanding where you are right now, creating the vision of where you want to be and figuring out how to get yourself there by navigating the barriers.

Coaching is not about giving advice or telling you what to do because my experiences and thoughts may be different to yours. It is my role to help you to find your own way through, not to tell you how I would do it. I am not here to judge your situation either. I offer unconditional positive regard, no matter what your circumstances may be. Imagine having a friend that you can talk to about anything you want without them offering their opinion, trying to tell you what to do or what they would do and whose role in that conversation is to listen, understand and help you to see how you want to move forward. That's what a life coach is - your independent curious companion.

Coaching can help with anything in your life where you feel stuck or that you want to change something but you're maybe not sure what to do. Maybe you feel like there are things stopping you from making changes or you are worried about the potential consequences of change. If you've ever thought 'If only I had someone independent to talk it through with...' then you need a life coach.

I have helped people with anxiety, relationship worries, career changes, family difficulties and much more. If it's time for a change, it's time for a coach!
